the photograph titled "Taste Of Cherry: Part One" by Jonathan Lovekin caught my eye when researching for my 'Folklore' project from its natural look and colourful display. P
I thought it could be potentially a layout for a recipe image to display ingredients for my zine. The healthy green fresh colours of ingredients give a clean countryside look to the image. To do a shoot like this myself I would use natural lighting to reflect on the freshness and nature of the ingredients that would be used; this is what I did for the images I took myself. I wanted to take a shot like Lovekin's but for the ingredients to my 'fresh bread' images. for the shoot, I used natural light, in the kitchen through a window., I had the ingredients in bowls and on their sides to display the ingredients. I liked that I captured the window light in the reflection in the egg yolk like Lovekin did in his own work. aspect like shine of light and shadow really highlighted the natural look and I wanted to involve as much of this as I could in my own imagery.
