Being a photographer means working with clients, asking for their needs and if you're able to accommodate them. I have recently come across a client that I wanted to work with for my final year university project, Folklore. the client I am currently working with is 'Pure Esscents', a small business which sells wax melts and other scented products. I needed a product that would work well with my project, Pure Esscents sell natural and environment friendly wax melts; working with this brand is a good opportunity to shoot something that provides comfort and good well- being for the planet in my own work.
Their hand crafted wax melts are beautiful and vibrant, great with detail and scent, definitely a business that I will be ordering off again after completing their photographs.

The photographs that I have taken first are naturally shot, using only natural light and some light from the small candles beside them, I didn't want to bring in external lighting as this effects the way the image looks greatly and I wanted to keep the link of nature in the photographs and the production of the products.
As I am shooting for a client, I want to produce multiple shoots so that I have a wide range of ideas and opportunity for them to choose from, I have the initial first shoot with the candles that I have completed, hero shots of their products and finally finding something more creative such as using some of the products and seeing them in use.
Pure Esscents will have their own double page spread in the folklore final zine, I will ask them to describe their business in a small statement to include in the zine alongside the photographs.
